Kaizen Platform Raises $8 million in Series B Funding

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Feb.1, 2016 — Kaizen Platform, Inc., a global provider of experience optimization technology and services has secured $8 million in a Series B round of funding. Participating in the Series B round were four new investors: YJ Capital Inc., NTT DOCOMO Ventures, Inc., through the investment fund it operates, Saison Ventures KK, a corporate venture capital of Credit Saison Co., Ltd., and COLOPL, Inc.,. They join three previous investors: Eight Roads Ventures Japan*, GREE Ventures, Inc. and GMO Venture Partners, Inc. This brings Kaizen Platform’s total funding to $17.8 million since the company was founded in 2013.

The additional funding will be used to enhance Kaizen Platform’s business foundation, fund its continued global expansion and to further invest in its proprietary technology platform.

3 Years of Achievements 

Kaizen Platform officially started business operations in August 2013 with a focus on enterprise level customers. As of January 2016, Kaizen Platform has 170 customers across multiple industries including recruiting, real estate, finance and EC. In total, Kaizen Platform has driven over $200 million in additional sales for customers.

While providing customers significant increases in revenue, Kaizen Platform was also able to grow new business by an average of 10% a month.

This round of funding follows three successful years developing innovative functions and programs to accelerate optimization services. Recent achievements include launching machine learning technology, expanding the Optimizer** network, and opening an optimization case study library within the platform. Moving forward, Kaizen Platform will continue fostering the exchange of ideas and knowledge on its platform, a key component in the creation of the company’s high-impact experiences.

To sustain growth, Kaizen Platform remains focused on providing a platform for effective collaboration between customers and Optimizers, in addition to developing more advanced automated optimization tools and AI.

A Platform for Better Business 

KPIs are intimately connected to UX and UI: purchases, reservations, upgrades, subscriptions, cancellations, navigation and engagement all depend on the quality of these digital experiences. With a focus on data-driven creativity, Kaizen Platform has made significant strides improving customer KPIs through its unique approach to optimization.

Previously, Kaizen Platform has focused on serving enterprise-level businesses, however the company is excited to announce that it will soon expand access to the platform with a pay-for-performance pricing model. Smaller organizations such as nonprofits and startups will now be able to use Kaizen Platform to optimize their digital experiences.

Kaizen Platform will also open the platform to more partners to provide better services to an expanding customer base. These actions will allow Kaizen Platform to optimize beyond the website experience, to include display and native ads.

Over 2,900 registered Optimizers (as of Jan 2016) take optimization requests from user companies and create improved designs and content.
